ギボンズ：教会讃美歌集（ＣＤ）

声楽曲から器楽曲まで幅広く活躍し、かのグレン・グールドも愛した作曲家ギボンズ。当盤は、教会や家庭で歌われる用途のため、1623年に出版された「教会の讃美歌集」に含まれるギボンズの旋律を全て取り上げるだけでなく、指揮のピッツらが改めて和声を付けたりダブルベースを付加したりするなどの編曲を施し、更にオリジナル作品（突然に現代風になったりして驚かされます！）を挿入して、曲順も再構成。ギボンズの美しい音楽を独自の視点でリフレッシュしてお届けします。トヌス・ペレグリヌスの演奏は、いつものように惚れ惚れする美しさ。家庭でも歌えそうな単純な曲に奥深さを与えています。
